Austin is what I would have called the most excited to meet Carson before he arrived. He is the child who talked to my tummy, hugged my belly, talked about what he was going to do with Carson, brought him up in conversations, and got excited to get baby things out. I was just as excited to have him come meet him in the hospital. I will never forget hearing Jaxon's voice coming down the hall or his smile as he entered that room to meet him the first time. Austin was a few steps behind and his reaction was.... well, priceless too, but not how I expected! He glanced over at the tiny baby and said hi. He then proceeded to find Dad and ask when he could go get a treat :) His interest was small and he would rather look at the rocks out the window and find something to play with in the room. Well, I am happy to say Austin is slowly warming up to Carson! I really think he thought he was getting an instant playmate when his baby brother arrived. A lot of the things Austin talked about doing with him before hand.... going down the slide, sleeping together, going swimming, riding bikes, playing cars.... well, that wasn't happening just yet. The last week or so he has been warming up though and has asked to hold Carson out of nowhere or has come over to look at him and talk to him. I have no doubt these two younger boys will be buds before too long :)
Still his favorite snuggler... Kasey girl :)
